Te Paea o Hauraki

• Te Paea marae, is the sister marae to Te Pai o Hauraki and also connected to Taharua marae in Paeroa.

• The tangata whenua of Te Paea marae is Ngāti Tamaterā.

• Ngāti Porou also have connections to this marae through the act of a tuku whenua in the mid 1850's by Ngāti Tamaterā, and Patukirikiri chiefs that have lasted to present day.
